Oops! "WARMING OF THE PLANET CANCELED AFTER ICE STORM"

"The hearing is entitled Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?" - Apparently the answer is NO.

Wow, global warming doesn't exist because it is snowing in New York. In February. Guess that settles it!
What a bunch of morons. I bet you think the Earth is only 10,000 years old too.

Besides reporting the unremarkable appearance of winter weather in February, Drudge repeats the fallacy of equating weather with climate. The two are not the same.
Weather is what’s happening in a specific place at a specific time. Weather changes moment by moment.
Climate encompasses the entire planet. Our climate changes slowly.
For instance, high temperatures here in Delaware recently dropped from the forties to the teens within about a week. The overall temperature of the planet Earth changes by fractions of a degree over the course of a decade. The Earth is a big object; as such the laws of thermodynamics tell us that it takes a significant event to upset its thermal equilibrium.
Any questions?
...Duhh!!

"What a bunch of morons." - I am not sure who the 'morons' are that you are referring to. In case you didn't read my profile there is only one blogger on this blog.

"I bet you think the Earth is only 10,000 years old too." - No. What silly assumption would lead you to bet that? I recommend steering away from assumptions, they only make you look like an ass.

On the contrary, if you look at the history of the earth it is clear that there are times of extreme low temperatures and extreme high temperatures, with a mix of everything in between. My view is that the climate changes, this is nothing new and nothing that is the fault of humans.

My only question is what is your point?

Drudge's point was to illustrate the irony that a review of "warming of the planet" was canceled due to unseasonably low temperatures.

There was no mention of equating climate change to weather change in either Drudge's post or mine.

So again, what is your point?
