One of the major themes that comes through in his agenda is protectionism. Here are a few of his ideas:
- Amend the North American Free Trade Agreement
- End Tax Breaks for Companies that Send Jobs Overseas
- Reward Companies that Support American Workers
Other common themes are: increased government spending, higher taxes, and anti-business measures. Just what the economy needs at this time. Obama is a recipe for prolonged pain.

Since we now hear the CAW ranting about buying canadian made product , will they feel the same when Obama wants to cut back on canada exported cars to the USA and ask Americans to buy-American?
What really irks me is that every time us taxpayers bail-out the CAW , they then turn around and threaten a Strike for more money when the profits start to come in.
Never once did the CAW insist we get the money back, Noooooo, gimme gimme gimme during the good and the bad times because the world will end if the CAW loses jobs .
It's not THEIR money , plus has anyone wonder why the CAW members never want to buy shares in the Company they work for?
I stopped buying CAW cars when I saw the workers fight for the right to dress like slobs while at work.
If they don't even care about themselves ,how can I expect they will care about the car they are building for me?
If your sister brought home a beer drinking slob that insisted the family must support him because he spends money in the neighbourhood to help the economy , would you reall encourage her to marry the yahoo and be a life-long burden that will drain your bank accounts?
My Doctor and Dentist would never show-up looking like they just climbed out of bed after the Super bowl sunday drink fest.
It's my money that i earn , and I should choose how i spend it .

I think I remember Reagan raised taxes and instituted protectionist measures as well. How soon people forget when it serves ideology.
I won't even bring up tariffs on softwood lumber brought in by Bush.
